Natural abundance
In chemistry, natural abundance (NA) refers to the abundance of isotopes of a chemical element as naturally found on a planet. The relative atomic mass (a weighted average) of these isotopes is the atomic weight listed for the element in the periodic table. The abundance of an isotope varies from planet to planet, and even from place to place on the Earth, but remains relatively constant in time.

Abundância natural
Em química , abundância natural é a quantidade de qualquer partícula ( átomo, isótopo. íon ou molécula ) presente na natureza , expresso em porcentagen. Como exemplo, uma partícula com abundância natural de 5 % significa que na natureza existem 5 partes de cem desta partícula.
A abundância natural é muito utilizada em isotopia para expressar a percentagem de cada isótopo existente na natureza.
Por exemplo: Na natureza existem dois isótopos do nitrogênio: N-14 e N-15. Estes isótopos naturais são encontrados, respectivamente, na quantidade de 99,634% e 0,366%. O N-13, por exemplo, é sintético.

التوافر الطبيعي مصطلح يشير لانتشار نظائر العناصر الكيميائية في الطبيعة. متوسط وزن (حسب التواجد الطبيعي) الكتلة لهذه النظائر هو الوزن الذري الموجود في الجدول الدوري. ونسبة تواجد العناصر تختلف من كوكب لآخر.
