National Capital Region

Capital Region, also National Capital Region, is a common term for the region or district surrounding the capital city a country or any other administrative division. It is not always the official term for the region, but may sometimes be used as an informal synonym.The official term Región Capital (Spanish: Capital Region) is used for one of the administrative regions of Venezuela.

Metro Manila ist ein Bezirk der Philippinen auf der Hauptinsel Luzón. Er umfasst einschließlich Manila, der Hauptstadt des Landes, 17 Städte und Gemeinden. Der offizielle Name lautet auf Englisch National Capital Region und auf Tagalog Pambansang Rehiyong Kapita. Metro Manila ist das politische, wirtschaftliche, kulturelle und industrielle Ballungszentrum des Landes; im Jahr 2005 lebten dort etwa 11,1 Millionen Menschen.

| De National Capital Region (NCR) is één van de 17 regio's van de Filipijnen. De regio wordt ook wel aangeduid als Metro Manilla. Het regionale centrum is Manilla. Volgens de laatste officiële telling uit 2000 had de regio een inwonertal van 9.932.560 mensen verdeeld over 2.132.989 huishoudens op een totale oppervlakte van 636 km².

A Região da Capital Nacional (em inglês: National Capital Region, em francês: Région de la capitale nationale) é a designação oficial do governo do Canadá para designar a região metropolitana de Ottawa, a capital nacional, a cidade vizinha de Gatineau, localizado em Quebec, e outras cidades de menor porte. Sua população é de 1 543 790 habitantes.
