National Cancer Institute
The National Cancer Institute (NCI) is part of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), which is one of 11 agencies that are part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The NCI coordinates the U.S. National Cancer Program and conducts and supports research, training, health information dissemination, and other activities related to the causes, prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of cancer; the supportive care of cancer patients and their families; and cancer survivorship. As of July 2010, the current director of the NCI is Dr. Harold Varmus.

National Cancer Institute
National Cancer Institute (NCI) to dział amerykańskiej rządowej agencji National Institutes of Health. NCI należy do finansowanych z budżetu federalnego organizacji badań i rozwoju (Federally Funded Research and Development Centers, FFRDCs). Obecnie dyrektorem NCI jest John E. Niederhuber. NCI koordynuje National Cancer Program; ośrodki NCI znajdują się w Bethesdzie i Fort Detrick w Maryland. NCI finansuje także badania prowadzone w całych Stanach Zjednoczonych.

National Cancer Institute
NCI. The National Cancer Institute, part of the National Institutes of Health of the United States Department of Health and Human Services, is the Federal Government's principal agency for cancer research. NCI conducts, coordinates, and funds cancer research, training, health information dissemination, and other programs with respect to the cause, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of cancer.
