99 Names of God in the Qur'an
The 99 Names of God, also known as The 99 Attributes of God ( ), are the
names of God revealed in the
Qur'an and
Sunnah; even though the names (as adjectives, word constructs, or otherwise) exceed ninety-nine in the Qur'an and Sunnah. Muslims believe that there are an elite group of names, or the Best names, which number 99.

oulémas de quatre-vingt-dix-neuf. Outre son appellation d'
Allah, qui signifie
Dieu, d'autres noms ou attributs servent à qualifier la divinité vénérée par les musulmans et sont retrouvés cités dans le
Coran, le livre saint de cette
religion. Ces noms sont appelés en
arabe Asma’ Allah al-Ḥusná, c'est-à-dire les meilleurs noms de Dieu.

Muslimen als Synonym für Gott (
Allah) verwendet.In einem
Hadith sagte der Religionsstifter Mohammed: übersetzt: „Wahrlich, Gott hat neunundneunzig Namen, einen weniger als hundert. Wer sie aufzählt geht ins Paradies.“ (Sahih Buchary Ausg. 3, Band 50, Nr. 894)Von den 99 Namen Gottes stehen 84 wörtlich im Koran und werden insgesamt 1.286-mal erwähnt. Teilweise sind sie

arabsku أسماء الله الحسنى , dosłownie "piękne imiona Allaha") to w
islamie epitety odnoszące się do
Allaha. Według
hadisów, Prorok Mahomet modląc się nazywał Boga 99 "najpiękniejszymi imionami". Następne pokolenia muzułmanów zebrały epitety użyte w Koranie, tworząc poniższą listę: Wyrażenie Dhu'l Fazl al Azim (ذو الفضل العظيم) "Pan nieskończonej chwały" nie jest zazwyczaj uznawane za jedno imion Allaha, mimo że występuje w Koranie kilkakrotnie (2.105, 3.74, 8.29, 57.21, 57.29, 62.4). Tradycja muzułmańska mówi, że Stwórca ma 100 imion, ale setne znane jest tylko Jemu.
