Nabu
Nabu (in Biblical Hebrew Nebo נבו) is the Assyrian and Babylonian god of wisdom and writing, worshipped by Babylonians as the son of Marduk and his consort, Sarpanitum, and as the grandson of Ea. Nabu's consort was  Tashmetum.

Nabu (Gott)
Der Name Nabu (akkadisch Na-bi-um, aramäisch Nebu = nbw, Nebui=nbwy) leitet sich von der semitischen Wurzel nb' (Nebo) ab und ist eine babylonisch-assyrische Gottheit. Sein Name bedeutet Ankündiger, Berufener.

Nabu
Nabu (inaczej Nebo) — w mitologii babilońskiej syn boga Marduka, mąż Nanaji (lub Taszmetu w Asyrii), bóg mądrości i pisarzy.

Według mitologii Nabu zesłał ludziom pismo, tabliczkę glinianą i rylec służące do pisania.

Głównym ośrodkiem kultu, który rozwinął się w I tysiącleciu p.n.e., była świątynia E-zida (Dom trwały) w Borsippie. 3-metrowy posąg bóstwa znajduje się w świątyni Nabu w Kalchu (Nimrud).
