n. electronic device or system that aids navigation

Radio navigation or radionavigation is the application of radio frequencies to determining a position on the Earth. Like radiolocation, it is a type of radiodetermination.

Very high frequency omni-directional radio range (VOR), combined Very High Frequency Omni-Directional Radio Range (VOR) and tactical aircraft control and navigation (TACAN) navigational facility (VORTAC), and TACAN aids are classed according to their operational use.
