N'Djamena (; Nijamina) is the capital and largest city (population 993,492 in 2009) of Chad. A port on the Chari River, near the confluence with the Logone River, it directly faces the Cameroonian town of Kousséri, to which the city is connected by a bridge. It is also a special statute region, divided in 10 arrondissements. It is a regional market for livestock, salt, dates, and grains.  Meat, fish and cotton processing are the chief industries, and the city continues to serve as the centre of economic activity in Chad, despite the violent civil conflicts.

N’Djamena (bis 1973 Fort-Lamy; ) ist die Hauptstadt der Republik Tschad und zugleich größte Stadt des Landes.

Ndjamena, appelée avant 1973 Fort-Lamy, est la capitale et la plus grande ville de la république du Tchad. Ndjamena est aussi une région régie par un statut particulier (décret n° 419/PR/MAT/02). Elle est divisée en 10 arrondissements municipaux.

N'Djamena är huvudstad i Tchad, och hade cirka 1 miljon invånare vid folkräkningen 2009. Staden är landets administrativa centrum, och är också ett regionalt handelscentrum för främst boskap, salt, dadlar och spannmål. Stadens främsta industri är köttproduktion.

Ndżamena (arab. نجامينا, fr. Ndjamena, także: N'Djamena) - stolica i największe miasto Czadu, państwa w północnej Afryce, dystryktu stołecznego Ville de Ndjamena. W mieście działa port na rzece Szari, położony niedaleko ujścia rzeki Logone. Po drugiej stronie Szari leży kameruńskie miasto Kousséri, z którym Ndżamena połączona jest mostem. Ndżamena jest ośrodkiem przemysłu mięsnego oraz handlu zwierzętami hodowlanymi, solą i zbożem.
