Moscow is the northernmost megacity on Earth, the most populous city in Europe, and the 6th largest city proper in the world. Its population, according to the results of the 2010 Census, is 11,503,501. Based on Forbes 2011, Moscow has the largest community of billionaires in the world.

Moskva (ryska: Москва́, IPA: [mɐˈskva]) är Rysslands huvudstad och största stad, belägen vid Moskvafloden i den centrala delen av europeiska Ryssland. Det är även Europas folkrikaste stad med 10,6 miljoner invånare, på en yta av 1 081 kvadratkilometer. Hela storstadsområdet omfattar ytterligare två till fyra miljoner invånare, beroende på definition. Området runt huvudstaden ingår i Moskvas oblast med Moskva som huvudstad. Själva staden Moskva ingår dock inte i detta utan utgör en egen administrativ enhet med särskild administrativ status.
