Moonlight gourami
Moonlight gourami (Trichogaster microlepis) is a labyrinth fish of the family Osphronemidae. It may also be called the moonbeam gourami. This peaceful, attractive species is a popular aquarium fish.

Feeding Habits
Fresh zucchini, lettuce, peas and spinach.. Live brine shrimp, blood worms, glass worms and tubifex worms. Frozen daphnia, plankton, blood worms, brine shrimp and glass worms. Freeze dried and flake foods also accepted.
Compatibility
A timid and peaceful fish that may eat smaller fish. Mix with the same size fish.
Habitat
Cambodia: Densely decorated with live plants, driftwood and rocks. Live plants mat be nibbled on but will not be destroyed.
Breeding
The male has orange-red feelers and a pointed dorsal fin. The male will build a bubble nest for the eggs.
Additional Comments
They use their feelers underneath their bodies to scope out new items or fish in the aquarium. A well rounded diet is important, otherwise the fish will die prematurely. A popular food fish in their native lands.
