Moon

The Moon is Earth's only natural satellite, and the fifth largest moon in the Solar System. The average centre-to-centre distance from the Earth to the Moon is 384,403 km which is about thirty times the diameter of the Earth. The Moon has a diameter of 3,474 km —slightly more than a quarter that of the Earth and a little bit smaller than the length across the United States. This means that the volume of the Moon is close to 1/50th that of Earth. The gravitational pull at its surface is about 1/6th of Earth's. The Moon makes a complete orbit around the Earth every 27.3 days, and the periodic variations in the geometry of the Earth–Moon–Sun system are responsible for the lunar phases that repeat every 29.5 days.

Moon. is a Japanese adult visual novel developed by Tactics, a brand of the joint company Nexton, and first released on November 21 1997 playable on the PC as a CD-ROM. Much of the staff that created the game later became the founding members of the visual novel company Key, so this game is often considered roughly equal to or like one of Key's works. Moon. was the starting point for Key's origins and was the first time the principal Key team was formed. Unlike most H games, the protagonist of Moon. is female. A novel based on the game written by Midori Tateyama was released on July 31 1998 by Movic.

Der Mond (lateinisch Luna) ist der einzige natürliche Satellit der Erde. Seit den Entdeckungen von Trabanten bei anderen Planeten des Sonnensystems – im übertragenen Sinn zumeist als Monde bezeichnet – wird er zur Vermeidung von Verwechslungen auch Erdmond genannt.Aufgrund seiner verhältnismäßigen Nähe ist er der einzige fremde Himmelskörper, der bisher von Menschen betreten wurde, und damit auch der am besten erforschte. Trotzdem birgt er noch viele Geheimnisse, etwa zu seiner Entstehung und zu manchen Geländeformen. Die spätere Entwicklung ist jedoch weitgehend geklärt.

Księżyc (łac. Luna) to jedyny stały naturalny satelita Ziemi. Jest on piątym co do wielkości księżycem w Układzie Słonecznym. Przeciętna odległość od środka Ziemi do środka Księżyca to 384403 km, co stanowi mniej więcej trzydziestokrotność średnicy ziemskiej. Średnica Księżyca wynosi 3474 km, nieco więcej niż 1/4 średnicy Ziemi. Oznacza to, że objętość Księżyca wynosi około 1/50 objętości kuli ziemskiej. Przyspieszenie grawitacyjne na jego powierzchni jest blisko 6 razy słabsze. Księżyc wykonuje pełny obieg Ziemi w ciągu 27,3 dnia, a okresowe zmiany w geometrii układu Ziemia-Księżyc-Słońce powodują występowanie powtarzających się w cyklu 29,5-dniowym faz Księżyca.

Il suo nome proprio viene talvolta utilizzato, per estensione e con l'iniziale minuscola (una luna), come sinonimo di 'satellite naturale'.Il suo simbolo astronomico è una rappresentazione stilizzata della sua fase crescente (Unicode: ). La faccia della Luna rivolta in direzione opposta alla Terra si chiama propriamente faccia lontana. A volte viene chiamata faccia oscura, il cui significato è qui inteso come sconosciuto e nascosto; si riferisce anche al black out delle comunicazioni radio, che avviene quando una sonda spaziale si muove dietro la faccia lontana. Questa interruzione delle comunicazioni è causata dalla massa della Luna che blocca i segnali radio. Il termine "faccia oscura" è spesso erroneamente interpretato come una mancanza di radiazioni solari, ma il Sole illumina la faccia lontana esattamente come quella rivolta verso di noi.
