Milovan Djilas

Milovan Đilas or Djilas (Serbian Cyrillic: Милован Ђилас) (4 June 1911 - 20 April 1995) was a Montenegrin-Serbian Communist politician, theorist and author in Yugoslavia. He was a key figure in the Partisan movement during the World War II, as in the post war government, and became one of the best known and most determined critics of the system, domestically and internationally.

April 1995 in Belgrad) war ein serbischer und jugoslawischer Politiker und politik- und sozialwissenschaftlicher Schriftsteller. Milovan Đilas (Djilas, czytaj Dżilas) (ur. 4 czerwca 1911, Polja, Czarnogóra, zm. 20 kwietnia 1995, Belgrad) - jugosłowiański polityk i pisarz polityczny.Od 1931 członek partii komunistycznej. Od 1941 członek Biura Politycznego i bliski współpracownik Tito. Po wojnie odpowiedzialny za propagandę. Od 1953 wiceprezydent Jugosławii. W 1954 za krytykę rządów partii komunistycznej pozbawiony stanowisk i 1956–66 kilkakrotnie więziony. W książce Nowa klasa poddał krytycznej analizie system rządów oligarchii komunistycznej. Milovan Djilas (Polja, 12 juni 1911-1997), was een Joegoslavisch communistisch politicus.Djilas was afkomstig uit Montenegro. In 1932 sloot hij zich als student aan de Universiteit van Belgrado aan bij de Joegoslavische Communistische Partij. Van 1933 tot 1936 zat hij als politiek gevangene in de gevangenis van Belgrado. Na zijn vrijlating werd hij in 1938 lid van het Centraal Comité van de communistische partij en in 1940 werd hij lid van het Politburo.
