Mentha (also known as Mint, from Greek míntha, Linear B mi-ta) is a genus of flowering plants in the family Lamiaceae (mint family). The species are not clearly distinct and estimates of the number of species varies from 13 to 18. Hybridization between some of the species occurs naturally. Many other hybrids as well as numerous cultivars are known in cultivation. The genus has a subcosmopolitan distribution across Europe, Africa, Asia, Australia, and North America.

Die Minzen (Mentha) sind eine Pflanzengattung aus der Familie der Lippenblütengewächse (Lamiaceae). Die meisten der etwa 25 bis 30 Arten sind in den gemäßigten Gebieten der Nordhalbkugel beheimatet; auf der Südhalbkugel (Australien und Capensis) kommen nur wenige Arten vor. Sie gedeihen meist an feuchten Standorten.

Myntasläktet (Mentha) är ett växtsläkte. Myntor odlas för användning som krydda och används i till exempel godis, likör, glass och tandkräm men även till lammkött. En lättodlad kryddväxt med mild smak, vanlig i det engelska köket.

Mięta (Mentha L.) – rodzaj roślin z rodziny jasnotowatych (Lamiaceae Lindl., wargowych), o silnym, charakterystycznym zapachu (nie zawsze "miętowym"). Występuje głównie w strefie umiarkowanej półkuli północnej, ale również w Australii i Tasmanii. Znanych jest ok. 40 gatunków (oraz duża ilość mieszańców międzygatunkowych), z czego w Polsce występuje dziewięć.
