Medeoulin
[Native American] A shaman, usually male, but not always. Shamans were closer to the spirit world than ordinary humans. They could divine weather and other future events and some could even control it. They cured the sick with their special knowledge of plants and herbs. Sometimes, however, they used their powers for less virtuous means.
