Matrix Collinearity, Multicollinearity
This term is used in the context of correlation matrices or covariance matrices, to describe the condition when one or more variables from which the respective matrix was computed are linear functions of other variables; as a consequence such matrices cannot be inverted (only the generalized Inverse can be computed). See also Matrix Singularity for additional details.
