Very good goalkeeper with excellent reflexes and agility. Came to prominence after defending Mexican goal in 1999 Nigeria U-20 WC and he was named 2nd best goalkeeper, just behind Carini from Uruguay. After his spectacular saves in the youth WC, he moved from Cuautitlan of Primera A (second division) to one of the most spectacular teams in Mexico: America. Christian became the first choice keeper of the Aguilas and made the Coappa team reach the semifinals of Copa Toyota Libertadores, where they lost with Boca Juniors (4:5).
