Mario

is a video game character created by Japanese game designer Shigeru Miyamoto and the official mascot of Nintendo. He has appeared in over 100 video games since his creation, more than any other character. Originally used for platforming games, he has also found his way into racing games, puzzle games, role-playing games, fighting games, sports games, and many others.

Né de l'imagination de Shigeru Miyamoto, il apparait pour la première fois en 1981 dans le jeu Donkey Kong sous le nom de Jumpman mais c'est la série à succès des Super Mario qui a fait de lui un phénomène mondial et l'une des principales icônes du jeu vidéo. Mário Hipólito (* 1. Juni 1985 in Luanda, Angola), bekannt als Mário ist ein angolanischer Fußballspieler.Mário steht seit 2004 als Profi-Fußballer im Tor von GD InterClube in Angola beschäftigt. Mit seinem Team konnte er sich erstmals für die Fußball-Weltmeisterschaft 2006 in Deutschland qualifizieren. Dies bedeutet den größten Erfolg in der Sportgeschichte des afrikanischen Landes.

Jest jedną z najbardziej znanych postaci z gier Nintendo i także najbardziej rozpoznawalną w historii gier wideo. Wystąpił w wielu grach, z których wiele stało się przebojami. Pierwszy raz można było zobaczyć go w grze Donkey Kong z 1981 roku na automaty arcade. Jego brat Luigi po raz pierwszy pojawił się w grze Mario Bros. w 1983 roku. Broni również w reprezentacji Angoli, w której jak do tej pory rozegrał zaledwie jeden mecz. Znalazł się w kadrze Angoli na Mistrzostwa Świata 2006 w Niemczech, ale nie spędził tam ani minuty na boisku, pozostając przez cały czas trzecim bramkarzem w swojej drużynie.

Nome attuale e "nazionalità" del personaggio si riferiscono all'italoamericano Mario Segali, proprietario dello stabile dove aveva sede la filiale statunitense della Nintendo nei primi anni ottanta. Tra i più conosciuti personaggi creati dalla multinazionale di Kyoto, Mario viene considerato uno dei più importanti della storia dei videogiochi; è apparso in decine di titoli di vario genere, quasi tutti di grande successo di vendite. La saga di Super Mario è in assoluto la più premiata in termini di vendite: in circa vent'anni di carriera, quasi 200 milioni di videogiochi aventi Mario come protagonista sono stati venduti. Al momento Charles Martinet è il suo doppiatore, anche se in passato si sono succeduti il capitano Lou Albano, Walker Boone e Tôru Furuya.
