Caribbean Sea
The Caribbean Sea is a sea of the Atlantic Ocean located in the tropics of the Western hemisphere. It is bounded by Mexico and Central America to the west and southwest, to the north by the Greater Antilles, and to the east by the Lesser Antilles.

Mar Caribe
El Mar Caribe es un mar abierto tropical del Océano Atlántico, situado al este de América Central y al norte de América del Sur, cubriendo la superficie de la Placa del Caribe. También es llamado Mar de las Antillas por estar ubicado al sur y oeste del arco antillano.

Limita al Norte con las llamadas Antillas Mayores —Cuba, Haití, la República Dominicana y Puerto Rico— ubicadas al Sur del Trópico de Cáncer, al Este con las Antillas Menores (meridiano 60ºW), al Sur con Venezuela, Colombia y Panamá (paralelo 9ºN), y al oeste con México, Belice y Guatemala (meridiano 88ºW), y Honduras, Nicaragua y Costa Rica (meridiano 84ºW).
