Mannheim
is a city in southwestern Germany. With about 315,000 inhabitants, Mannheim is the second-largest city in the Bundesland of Baden-Württemberg, following the capital city of Stuttgart.

Mannheim
Die Universitätsstadt Mannheim ist mit etwa 310.000 Einwohnern die zweitgrößte Stadt Baden-Württembergs. Die ehemalige Residenzstadt (1720–1778) der historischen Kurpfalz bildet das wirtschaftliche und kulturelle Zentrum der europäischen Metropolregion Rhein-Neckar. Von seiner rheinland-pfälzischen Schwesterstadt Ludwigshafen (164.000 Einwohner) ist Mannheim nur durch den Rhein getrennt.

Mannheim
Mannheim är en stad i den tyska delstaten Baden-Württemberg. Den är belägen i delstatens nordvästra hörn, vid floden Neckars utflöde i Rhen. Staden har lite över 300 000 invånare och är en viktig industri- och universitetsstad. Mannheim har också Tysklands näst största rangerbangård och Europas näst största insjöhamn med stor båttrafik på de båda floderna. Närheten till ett antal motorvägar, som löper i såväl nord-sydlig som i öst-västlig riktning, järnvägen och en flygplats bidrar ytterligare till att staden har utomordentligt goda kommunikationer.

Mannheim - miasto w Niemczech (Badenia-Wirtembergia), nad ujściem Neckaru do Renu, 70 km na płd. od Frankfurtu nad Menem, naprzeciwko Ludwigshafen, z którym tworzy jeden organizm miejski i przemysłowy.

- powierzchnia: 144,96 km²
- wysokość n.p.m.: 97 m
- położenie geograficzne: 49°29' N, 08°29' E
Mannheim jest drugim co do wielkości miastem Badenii-Wirtembergii. Ważny port śródlądowy (przeładunek 8,6 mln t w 1988) i port lotniczy. Występuje przemysł maszynowy (silniki, maszyny rolnicze), środków transportu (fabryka Mercedes-Benz), elektrotechniczny, chemiczny (w tym farmaceutyczny), precyzyjny, włókienniczy i spożywczy. Znajduje się tu rafineria ropy naftowej, duża elektrownia cieplna (1650 MW) oraz elektrownia wodna.
