Malabo
Malabo is the capital of Equatorial Guinea, located on the northern coast of Bioko Island (formerly Fernando Pó) on the rim of a sunken volcano.. With a fast growing population of 155,963 (2005) it is also the second largest city in the country, after Bata in Río Muni on the African mainland.

Malabo
Malabo ist die Hauptstadt des Staates Äquatorialguinea, welcher sich an der Westküste Afrikas am Atlantik befindet. Die Stadt, die etwa 50.000 Einwohner hat, liegt an der Nordküste der Insel Bioko und ist auch Hauptstadt der nördlichen Provinz der Insel, Bioko Norte.

Malabo est la capitale de la Guinée équatoriale. Elle est située sur la côte nord de l'île de Bioko (anciennement appelée Fernando Póo). La ville de Malabo a eu différentes dénominations au cours du temps :
  • de 1827 à 1846 : Port Clarence ou Clarence City (dénomination anglaise) ;
  • de 1846 à 1973 : Santa Isabel (dénomination espagnole) ;
  • depuis 1973: Malabo (dénomination équato-guinéenne).

Malabo
Malabo är huvudstaden i Ekvatorialguinea och är belägen på ön Biokos norra kust. Staden utgör ett av landets trettio distrikt och har 211 276 invånare (2001), något lägre än staden Bata på fastlandet. Malabo grundades 1827 av britterna och hette då Port Clarence. När spanjorerna tog över staden fick den namnet Santa Isabel. Den blev landets huvudstad 1969 och först 1973 fick den namnet Malabo.

Malabo (do 1973 Santa Isabel) - stolica Gwinei Równikowej, port na wyspie Bioko w Zatoce Gwinejskiej.

Założone w 1827 przez Brytyjczyków jako ośrodek handlu niewolnikami o nazwie Clarencetown lub Port Clarence. W 1843 miasto zajęli Hiszpanie i zmienili nazwę na Santa Isabel. Od 1973. Po uzyskaniu niepodległości miasto zostało przemianowane na Malabo w ramach prowadzonej przez prezydenta Francisco Macias Nguema kampanii afrykanizowania nazw.
