Maine
Maine is a state in the New England region of the northeastern United States, bordered by the Atlantic Ocean to the east and south, New Hampshire to the west, and the Canadian provinces of Quebec to the northwest and New Brunswick to the northeast. Maine is both the northernmost and easternmost portion of New England. It is known for its scenery—its jagged, mostly rocky coastline, its low, rolling mountains, its heavily forested interior and picturesque waterways—as well as for its seafood cuisine, especially lobsters and clams.

Maine
Maine [] ist ein Bundesstaat der Vereinigten Staaten. Die Herkunft des Namens ist unklar. Wahrscheinlich ist er nach der französischen Landschaft Maine benannt, möglicherweise ist der Name aber auch eine Kurzform von „Mainland“ („Festland“). Die postalische Abkürzung des Staates ist ME. Der Spitzname von Maine ist „The Pine Tree State“ („Kiefern-Staat“).

Le Maine est un État des États-Unis situé à l’extrême nord-est du pays. Il est bordé à l’ouest et au nord par la province canadienne du Québec, au nord-est par la province du Nouveau-Brunswick, au sud-est par l'océan Atlantique, et au sud par l’État du New Hampshire.

Maine
Maine är en amerikansk delstat i regionen New England i nordöstra USA. Maine gränsar till Atlanten i sydöst, New Hampshire i sydväst, den kanadensiska provinsen Quebec i nordväst och New Brunswick i nordöst. Maine utgör den nordligaste delen av New England och är den delstat i Kontinentala USA som ligger längst österut. Delstaten är känd för sitt landskap — sitt ojämna, mestadels klippiga kustlinje, sina låga vågformiga berg och sina väl skogbeväxta skogar — men även för sin skaldjursmat, speciellt hummer och musslor.

Maine - stan na wschodnim wybrzeżu, w północno-wschodniej części USA. Na południowym zachodzie graniczy ze stanem New Hampshire, na północnym wschodzie z kanadyjską prowincją Quebec, a na wschodzie z kanadyjską prowincją Nowy Brunszwik. Rzeźba terenu wyżynno-górska (Appalachy); niziny jedynie na wybrzeżu.
