Magna Græcia (Latin meaning "Great Greece", Greek: Μεγάλη Ἑλλάς, Megálē Hellás) is the name of the coastal areas of Southern Italy on the Tarentine Gulf that were extensively colonized by Greek settlers; particularly the Achaean colonies of Tarentum, Croton, and Sybaris, but also, more loosely, the cities of Cumae and Neapolis to the north. The colonists, who began arriving in the 8th century BC, brought with them their Hellenic civilization, which was to leave a lasting imprint in Italy, particularly on the culture of ancient Rome.

Als Magna Graecia (lateinisch für „großes Griechenland“; griechisch: Megalê Hellas / Μεγάλη ῾Ελλάς) werden die Regionen im antiken Süditalien und Sizilien bezeichnet, die durch griechische Siedler ab dem 8. Jahrhundert v. Chr. kolonisiert wurden. Im Deutschen wird das Gebiet Großgriechenland genannt, seine Einwohner Westgriechen.

La Grande-Grèce ou Grande Grèce (les deux formes existent en français, avec une nuance de sens) (en grec ancien  / hê megálê Hellás, en latin Magna Græcia) est le nom que les Grecs de l'Antiquité utilisaient pour désigner le sud de la péninsule italienne ainsi que la Sicile. De nos jours, la Grande Grèce correspond à la Campanie, la Calabre, la Basilicate et la Pouille ainsi qu'à la Sicile.
