Magellanic Clouds
The two Magellanic Clouds are irregular dwarf galaxies once thought to be orbiting our Milky Way galaxy. However, new research seems to indicate that this is not the case. The Magellanic Clouds are members of our Local Group of galaxies.

Magellanic clouds
The Large and the Small Magellanic clouds are two satellite galaxies of the Milky Way . They are both irregular galaxies and are both forming stars. They are only visible from the Southern hemisphere and are 60,000 parsecs away. Their diameters are 7,000 and 2,500 parsecs, respectively.
