Machaon
[Greek] The son of Asclepius. Together with his brother Polidarius he led a company of Thessalonians in the battle of Troy. Both brothers were renowned as healers. Machaon was buried in Gerenia, in the ancient town of Messenia, and was venerated by the local people there.
