Malagueña
Originally the sixth movement of the Suite Andalucia by Ernesto Lecuona, who also provided it with Spanish lyrics, the song Malagueña has since become a popularjazz and drum corps / marching band standard and has been provided with lyrics in several languages. There is also an unrelated music piece of the same name by the Spanish composer Isaac Albéniz. A Malagueña is a woman living in the Spanish port city of Málaga, on the southern coast of Spain, in the province of Andalucia. In fact malagueña is simply the feminine form of the adjective malagueño/malagueña 'pertaining to Málaga'.

MALAGUENA
(FLAMENCO STYLE) (SONG FORM. CANTE JONDO.TOQUE LIBRE) This style of Malaguenas was created and developed by singers such as Juan Breva, and became very popular in the cafe cantante circuit in the late 19th century. Unlike the happy and lively style of the regional Malaguena, this freer style has a melancholy mood about it.
