Lybia

Libya ( ; Libyan vernacular: Lībya; Amazigh: ), officially the Great Socialist People's Libyan Arab Jamahiriya ( ), is a country in North Africa. Bordering the Mediterranean Sea to the north, Libya lies between Egypt to the east, Sudan to the southeast, Chad and Niger to the south, and Algeria and Tunisia to the west. With an area of almost 1.8 million square kilometres (700,000 sq mi), 90% of which is desert, Libya is the fourth largest country in  Africa by area, and the 17th largest in the world. The capital, Tripoli, is home to 1.7 million of Libya's 5.7 million people. The three traditional parts of the country are Tripolitania, the Fezzan and Cyrenaica.

La Libye, en forme longue Grande Jamahiriya arabe libyenne populaire et socialiste, est un pays arabe d'Afrique du Nord. La Libye est membre de la Ligue arabe. Elle est bordée au nord par la mer Méditerranée, à l'ouest par l'Algérie (982 km) et la Tunisie (459 km), au sud par le Niger (354 km) et le Tchad ( km) et à l'est par le Soudan (383 km) et l'Égypte ( km). Elle tire son nom d'une tribu berbère qui était nommée Libou, qui a donné le mot grec Libyè.

Libya (Libye, Lybie) (Λιβύη) ist eine Gestalt der griechischen Mythologie. Sie ist eine Tochter des Epaphos und der Memphis und damit eine Enkelin der Io. Sie war die Frau von Belos und die Mutter der Lamia.Libya ist auch der altgriechische Name für Afrika und damit namensgebend für das heutige Libyen.

La Grande Jamāhīriyya Araba di Libia Popolare e Socialista o semplicemente Libia (in arabo: ليبيا) è uno Stato del Nordafrica confinante con il mar Mediterraneo e compreso tra l'Egitto ad est, il Sudan a sudest, il Ciad e il Niger a sud e l'Algeria e la Tunisia ad ovest. La sua capitale è Tripoli.
