Lori dialects
For the town in France, see Luri, Haute-Corse. Luri or Lori (, IPA: /loriː/, /luriː/) is a collection of southwestern Iranian dialects which are mainly spoken by the Lurs and Bakhtiari people in the Iranian provinces of LorestanIlamChahar Mahaal and BakhtiariKohkiluyeh and Buyer Ahmad and parts of KhuzestanFarsMarkaziKermanshahIsfahan, and Hamadan. Some linguists catgorize the Luri dialects as a sub-group of Persian dialects. Some other sources such as SIL Ethnologue categorize them as the dialects of a distinct language, close to Persian, and call it Luri language.
