Loyd Blankenship (a.k.a. The Mentor, stylized as +++The Mentor+++) (born 1965) has been a well-known American computer hacker and writer since the 1970s, when he was a member of the hacker groups Extasyy Elite and  Legion of Doom.

È l'autore di The Conscience of a Hacker ("La coscienza di un Hacker", noto anche come The Hacker Manifesto), che scrisse dopo essere stato arrestato e che venne pubblicato dall'e-zine Phrack. Loyd lesse e commentò The Hacker Manifesto [1] all'incontro di hacker H2K2 a Las Vegas. Ha inoltre scritto il libro del gioco di ruolo cyberpunk GURPS Cyberpunk, che per via del suo coinvolgimento venne sequestrato dai servizi segreti statunitensi.

Loyd Blankenship (também conhecido por The Mentor) é um conhecido hacker e escritor americano. Na década de 1980 foi um dos membros fundadores da Legion of Doom, grupo de hackers.
