London Group
London Group is an art society based in London, England founded in 1915 when the Vorticists came together to encourage and support young avant-garde artists to exhibit their work. Members of the group have included: Walter SickertWilliam Roberts, Percy Wyndham Lewis, Robert Bevan, Henry MooreVanessa BellPaula Rego and Paul Nash. In 1940 the Polish painter Henryk Gotlib was invited to join, making him the Group's first foreign member. The London Group continues to exist as of 2006, when its members exhibitied at the Bankside Gallery.
