Lomblen

Pulau Lembata (the island of Lembata), formerly known as Pulau Lomblen, is the largest island of the Solor Archipelago, in the Lesser Sunda Islands, Indonesia. It forms part of the province of Nusa Tenggara Timur. The length of the island is about 80 km from the Southwest to the Northeast and the width is about 30 km from the West to the East. It rises to a height of 1533 m.

Lembata, anciennement Lomblen, est la plus grande des îles Solor dans les Petites îles de la Sonde en Indonésie. Administrativement, elle appartient à la province de Nusa Tenggara oriental.

Lembata (indonez. Pulau Lembata, dawniej Lomblen, Kawula, Kawolea) - wyspa w Indonezji, największa z wysp Solor; powierzchnia 1269,7 km²; długość linii brzegowej 322,4 km. Wyspa o wydłużonym, nieregularnym kształcie; u północnych wybrzeży rafy koralowe. Powierzchnia górzysta (wys. do 1533 m n.p.m.), występują czynne wulkany.Uprawa ryżu, palmy kokosowej; rybołówstwo; główna miejscowość Lewoleba.

Het eiland Lomblen (Indonesisch: Pulau Lembata, eiland Lembata) is met zijn afmetingen van 80 km bij 30 km het grootste eiland van de Solorarchipel, onderdeel van de Kleine Soenda-eilanden van Indonesië. Bestuurlijk hoort het eiland tot de provincie Oost-Nusa Tenggara.Westelijk liggen achtereenvolgens de eilanden Adonara, Solor en Flores. Ten oosten ligt, aan de andere kant van Straat Alor als onderdeel van de Alor-archipel het eiland Pantar. Ten zuiden ligt, aan de andere zijde van de Savoezee het eiland Timor. In het noorden, aan de andere zijde van de Bandazee ligt Celebes.
