Lissabon

Lisbon (, ) is the capital and largest city of Portugal. It is also the seat of the district of Lisbon and capital of the Lisbon region. Its municipality, which matches the city proper excluding the larger continuous conurbation, has a municipal population of 564,477 in 84.8 km², while the Lisbon Metropolitan Area in total has around 2.8 million inhabitants, and 3.34 million people live in the broader agglomeration of Lisbon Metropolitan Region (includes cities ranging from Leiria to Setúbal). Due to its economic output, standard of living, and market size, the Grande Lisboa (Greater Lisbon) subregion is considered the second most important financial and economic center of the Iberian Peninsula. It is also the political center of the country, as seat of government and residence of the Head of State.

Lisbonne est la capitale et la plus grande ville du Portugal, située sur l'embouchure du fleuve Tage. En plus d’être la capitale du pays, elle est aussi la capitale de la région de Lisbonne, du secteur métropolitain (ou district) de Lisbonne et est aussi le principal centre de la sous-région du Grand Lisbonne. La ville a recensé 564 477 habitants en 2001, mais regroupe dans son secteur métropolitain environ 3 millions d'habitants, ce qui en fait la ville la plus peuplée du pays. Lisbonne est la ville la plus riche du Portugal avec un PIB par habitant supérieur à la moyenne européenne. Deux agences de l'Union européenne ont leur siège à Lisbonne : l'Observatoire européen des drogues et des toxicomanies et l'Agence européenne pour la sécurité maritime. La CPLP (Comunidade dos Países de Língua Portuguesa, Communauté des pays de langue portugaise) a aussi son siège à Lisbonne.

Lizbona (port. Lisboa, wym. liżboa) jest stolicą Portugalii. Położona jest na wybrzeżu Atlantyku nad ujściem Tagu. W granicach administracyjnych Lizbony mieszka około 600 000 mieszkańców, a cała aglomeracja miejska ma około 2 600 000 mieszkańców. Miasto podzielone jest na 53 gminy (freguesias).
