Limassol
Limassol or Lemesos (, Lemesós; or Leymosun) is the second-largest city in Cyprus, with a population of 228,000 (2008). It is the largest city in geographical size, and the biggest municipality on the island. The city is located on Akrotiri Bay, on the island's southern coast and it is the capital of Limassol District.

Limassol (, , früher Limisso) ist eine Hafenstadt im Süden der Mittelmeerinsel Zypern mit 210.500 Einwohnern (Stand 31. Dezember 2004) und Hauptort des gleichnamigen Bezirkes.

Limassol
Limassol (gr. Λεμεσός trl. Lemesós; tur. Limasol lub Leymosun) – drugie co do wielkości miasto Cypru, nad Zatoką Akrotiri na południowym wybrzeżu wyspy, ośrodek administracyjny dystryktu Limassol. Około 161 tys. mieszkańców (2001).
Po roku 1974, kiedy północny Cypr zajęty został przez wojska tureckie, miasto uległo olbrzymim przeobrażeniom, stając się największym portem tranzytowym na Morzu Śródziemnym. Limassol jest Mekką dla turystów z Europy, ale nie tylko. O jego walorach zadecydowała długa tradycja kulturowa. Na jego terenie znajduje się kilka muzeów i stanowisk archeologicznych o znaczeniu światowym.
