Liechtenstein

The Principality of Liechtenstein ( (, is a tiny, doubly landlocked alpine country in Western Europe, bordered by Switzerland to its west and by Austria to its east. Mountainous, it is a winter sports resort, although it is perhaps best known as a tax haven. Despite this, it is not heavily urbanized (in the way that the Principality of Monaco and Gibraltar are). Many cultivated fields and small farms characterize its landscape both in the north (Unterland) and in the south (Oberland). Not only is it the smallest German-speaking country in the world, but also the only European country whose bordering countries are also landlocked.

Le Liechtenstein, appelé principauté de Liechtenstein dans les usages officiels est un petit pays d'Europe de l'Ouest sans accès à la mer situé dans les Alpes, entre la Suisse et l'Autriche. Das Fürstentum Liechtenstein [] ist ein souveräner Kleinstaat im mitteleuropäischen Alpenraum. Das Land liegt zwischen Österreich und der Schweiz am Ostufer des Rheins. Das Fürstentum ist heute eine konstitutionelle Erbmonarchie auf demokratisch-parlamentarischer Grundlage. Die Souveränität liegt sowohl beim Volk als auch beim Fürsten. Liechtenstein gliedert sich in elf Gemeinden; Hauptort und Fürstensitz ist Vaduz. Liechtenstein hat das höchste Bruttoinlandsprodukt pro Kopf weltweit, es liegt bei 169.000 Schweizer Franken pro Erwerbstätiger (2005). Liechtenstein ist Mitglied der UNO und des EWR, aber nicht Mitglied der EU.

Liechtenstein, Księstwo Liechtenstein (Fürstentum Liechtenstein) – państwo w Europie Zachodniej, leżące pomiędzy Austrią i Szwajcarią. Jest to bardzo małe państwo górskie. Główną rzeką jest Ren, a stolicą Vaduz. Kraj nie ma dostępu do morza i nie należy do Unii Europejskiej.

Il Principato del Liechtenstein (in tedesco: Fürstentum Liechtenstein) è un piccolo stato dell'Europa centrale, racchiuso tra la Svizzera (cantoni San Gallo e Grigioni) ad ovest e l'Austria (Land Vorarlberg) a est. Sede di numerosi istituti bancari, è considerato un paradiso fiscale. La natura montagnosa e la bassa densità di abitanti gli conferiscono un tipico aspetto alpino con prati, campi coltivati, vigneti (nell'Unterland, il nord) ed allevamenti all'aperto (nell'Oberland, sud), è conosciuto per gli sport invernali.
