Lepontic is an extinct Alpine language that was spoken in parts of Rhaetia and Cisalpine Gaul (what is now Northern Italy) between 550 and 100 BC. Lepontic is attested in inscriptions found in an area centered around Lugano, Switzerland, and including the Lake Como and Lake Maggiore areas of Italy.

Die lepontische Sprache (selten Keltoligurisch) ist eine ausgestorbene festlandkeltische Sprache. Sie wurde in Oberitalien im Alpenvorland gesprochen, im Gebiet des Lago Maggiore, des Luganersees, des Comer Sees und auf der Poebene. Hauptsiedlungsgebiet der Lepontier war die Gegend um den Luganersee (Golasecca-Kultur seit dem 13. Jh. v. Chr.). Sie gehört zu den vorrömischen Sprachen Italiens und ist diejenige der festlandkeltischen Sprachen, deren Zeugnisse als die frühesten erhaltenen gelten.

Le Lépontique est une langue celtique morte, la langue des Lepontii, qui était parlée dans une partie de la Gaule Cisalpine du au . Parfois appelé Celtique Cisalpin, il est considéré comme étant un dialecte du Gaulois et donc comme une langue celtique continentale (Eska 1998).

Język lepontyjski (leponcki) - wymarły język z rodziny celtyckiej. Uważany za ogniwo pośrednie między językami celtyckimi a italskimi. Należy do języków p-celtyckich. Używany był na terenach Galii Przedalpejskiej między VII a IV wiekiem przed naszą erą przez plemiona Lepontów. Zaświadczony jedynie w kilku inskrypcjach.

Il Lepontico è una lingua celtica estinta, parlata nelle regioni oggigiorno italofone settentrionali (Gallia Cisalpina) dal popolo dei Leponti fra il 700 a.C. e il 400 a.C. Talvolta chiamato Celtico Cisalpino, è considerato un dialetto del Gallico e perciò appartenente al Celtico Continentale (Eska 1998).
