Lemmy Kilmister

Lemmy (born Ian Fraser Kilmister on December 24, 1945, also known as Ian Willis, Lemmy Kilmister, and Lemmy von Motörhead), is an English singer and bass guitarist, most famous for being the founding member of the heavy metal band Motörhead. His appearance, facial moles, mutton chops (sideburn-moustache combination), and gravelly voice, have made him an instantly recognizable cult figure, known beyond the world of rock music. Lemmy is considered one of the great heavy metal musicians.

Ian Fraiser Kilmister dit Lemmy Kilmister (né le 24 décembre 1945, à Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, Angleterre) est un bassiste et chanteur de heavy metal. Lemmy Kilmister - (właściwie Ian Fraiser Kilmister) (ur. 24 grudnia 1945 roku w Stoke-on-Trent w Wielkiej Brytanii) angielski wokalista i basista rockowych formacji Hawkwind oraz Motörhead.Miał zaledwie trzy miesiące, gdy jego rodzinę opuścił ojciec - pastor, stąd wzięła się nienawiść do religii. Właśnie dzięki temu we wczesnych latach sześćdziesiątych zaczął żywo interesować się muzyką rockową. Po pierwszych doświadczeniach muzycznych (m.in. gra w zespołach amatorskich, etat technicznego Jimiego Hendrixa) udało mu się w 1971 roku znaleźć etat basisty w zespole Hawkwind, gdzie od czasu do czasu udzielał się również wokalnie. Podczas kanadyjskiej trasy koncertowej zespołu w 1975 roku pogłębiła się przepaść dzieląca członków grupy i uzależnionego wtedy od amfetaminy muzyka. Ostatecznie został on aresztowany za posiadanie narkotyków przez policję i odesłany od Wielkiej Brytanii. Tym samym zakończyła się działalność Lemmy'ego w Hawkwind.

Lemmy ha un aspetto inconfondibile, con i suoi due grandi nei nel viso, la particolare acconciatura ottocentesca con cui unisce le basette ai baffi (adesso conosciuto dai fan di musica come "The Lemmy") e la sua voce roca, grave e dura, che l'hanno reso una figura mitica all'interno del mondo rock & roll e anche in altri campi. Sul palco è altrettanto riconoscibile, sia per il suo look (occhiali da sole, cappello da cowboy in testa, stivali, capelli lunghi, medaglie e simboli prussiani e tedeschi); sia per il suo modo di esibirsi sempre con la testa protesa verso l'alto a raggiungere il microfono; infatti raramente guarda il pubblico, e il basso elettrico con cui suona.
