.lat / .lac is a proposed Internet generic top-level domain (gTLD) for Latin America and Latino communities outside the region.Recently NIC México (handler of the .mx ccTLD) along with eCOM-LAC (Federation of Latin-America and the Caribbean for the Internet and Electronic Commerce) were appointed official sponsors for this campaign. The full proposal will be presented to ICANN during 2008. The official gTLD name will be appointed by ICANN if the proposal is approved. Other names that are being considered are .latin and .latino. Similar proposals have already been approved like the Asian gTLD (.asia) and the European Communitys ccTLD (.eu).

Lat, de son vrai nom Mohammad Nor Khalid (né en 1951 à Kota Baru) est un auteur malais de bande dessinée. Célébrité en son pays depuis la publication dans les années 1970 de Kampung Boy, c'est l'un des précurseurs de l'autobiographie en bande dessinée.

Es war Amtssprache des Römischen Reichs und zu dieser Zeit dominierende Verkehrssprache in weiten Teilen Europas. Łat - jednostka monetarna używana na Łotwie. Dzieli się na 100 santimów. Kod walutowy wg ISO 4217: LVL. Łat został wprowadzony jako oficjalna jednostka płatnicza Łotwy w 1923 r. i obowiązywał aż do czasu przyłączenia kraju do ZSRR w 1940 r. W październiku 1993 ponownie wprowadzono łata jako walutę Łotwy i od tego czasu należy on do jednostek walutowych o najwyższej wartości w całej Europie.
