Laghman

Located in the eastern portion of Afghanistan, the capital is Mihtarlam. The province is composed of several districts including: Alingar, Alishing, Dawlat Shah, Mihtarlam, and Qarghayi. It is estimated that the population is approximately 285,680.

Laghman (auch als Lagman bezeichnet) ist eine von insgesamt 34 Provinzen in Afghanistan. Auf einer Fläche von fast 3843 km² leben hier nach Angaben von USAID 373.000 Einwohner. Die Provinzhauptstadt ist Mehtar Lam. Die Provinz ist mit einem Bevölkerungsanteil von 75% mehrheitlich von Paschtunen bewohnt, darüberhinaus gehören 20% der Bevölkerung zu den Pashai und 5% zu anderen Bevölkerungsgruppen. Zu den gesprochenen Sprachen gehört Paschto, Pashai und Dari.

Laghman è una provincia dell'Afghanistan di 373.000 abitanti, che ha come capoluogo Mehtar Lam. Confina con le province di Panjshir e di Nurestan a nord, di Konar a est, di Nangarhar a sud, di Kabul e di Kapisa a ovest.
