Laestrygones
[Greek heroic] The Laestrygones were a race of giant cannibals who played a gruesome part in the Odyssey. They were ruled by Lamus. At Telepylos, they threw rocks and boulders at Odysseus' fleet and destroyed every ship except that of Odysseus. The Laestrygones massacred those whose ships were wrecked and took their corpses with them to eat.
