La Défense
La Défense (pronounced ) is a major business district of the Paris aire urbaine. With a population of 20,000, it is centered in an orbital motorway straddling the Hauts-de-Seine département municipalities of Nanterre, Courbevoie and Puteaux. The district is at the westernmost extremity of Paris's 10 km long Historical Axis, which starts at the Louvre in Central Paris and continues along the Champs-Élysées, well beyond the Arc de Triomphe before culminating at La Défense.

La Défense ist ein modernes Hochhausviertel westlich von Paris und gilt als Europas größte Bürostadt. Administrativ gesehen teilen sich die Städte Courbevoie, Nanterre und Puteaux das 160 Hektar große Gebiet.

La Défense
La Défense, en région parisienne, est le premier quartier d'affaires européen par l'étendue de son marché de bureaux. Il est situé dans les Hauts-de-Seine à l'ouest de Neuilly-sur-Seine et dans le prolongement de l'axe historique parisien qui commence au musée du Louvre et se poursuit par l'avenue des Champs-Élysées, l'arc de triomphe, et au-delà jusqu'au pont de Neuilly et la Grande Arche de la Défense.

La Défense är en stor kontorsstadsdel belägen väster om Paris innerstad och förorten Neuilly-sur-Seine. Området omgärdas av en cirkelmotorväg som bildar gräns till orterna Nanterre, Courbevoie och Puteaux som alla ligger i Hauts-de-Seine.

La Défense
La Défense - nowoczesna dzielnica biurowo-wystawienniczo-mieszkalno-handlowa, w aglomeracji Paryskiej, we Francji, znajdująca się formalnie na terenie trzech gmin Nanterre, Courbevoie i Puteaux w departamencie Hauts-de-Seine, na zachód od ścisłego Paryża.
Dzielnica ta stanowi główne centrum biznesu we Francji, z siedzibami większości wielkich francuskich koncernów i głównych przedstawicielstw koncernów zagranicznych we Francji. Oprócz tego spełnia także rolę centrum handlowego, wystawienniczego, rozrywkowego i transportowego. Na jej terenie znajduje się także kilkanaście ekskluzywnych apartamentowców i hoteli.
