A Coruña or La Coruña (still sometimes known as Corunna in English, and archaically as The Groyne) is a city and municipality of Galicia, Spain. It is the second-largest city in the autonomous community and seventeenth overall in the country. The city is the provincial capital of the province of the same name, having also served as political capital of the Kingdom of Galicia from the 16th to the 19th centuries, and as a regional administrative centre between 1833 and 1982, before being replaced by Santiago de Compostela.

Sie umfasst eine Gesamtfläche von 37,83 km² und zählt rund 246.056 Einwohner, unter Einbeziehung der Vororte 407.150 Einwohner (Stand: Januar 2009).

La Coruña (galiciska: A Coruña, spanska: La Coruña) är den näst största staden i Galicien i nordvästra Spanien, belägen på atlantkusten, med 243 785 invånare (2004) och en yta på 36,8 km². Staden är ett centrum för handel och kultur i området, har en betydande hamn och är distributionscentral för jordbruksvaror från de närliggande distrikten. Staden är huvudort i provinsen A Coruña.
