Language Integrated Query (LINQ), pronounced "link", is a Microsoft project that adds a native querying syntax reminiscent of SQL to .NET Framework programming languages, initially to the Visual Basic .NET and C# languages. Many of the concepts that LINQ has introduced were originally trialled in Microsoft's Cω research project.

Language Integrated Query (Requête intégrée au langage, aussi connu sous le nom de LINQ) est un composant du Framework .NET de Microsoft et qui ajoute des capacités d'interrogation sur des données aux langages .NET en utilisant une syntaxe proche de celle de SQL. La plupart des concepts mis en place par LINQ ont été initialement testées dans un projet de recherche Microsoft nommé Cω. LINQ a été mis en production dans le cadre du Framework NET 3.5 le 19 novembre 2007.

LINQ ist die Abkürzung für Language INtegrated Query. Es handelt sich dabei um eine von Microsoft entwickelte Methode um SQL-, XLink- und XQuery-Anfragen direkt in eine Programmiersprache wie etwa C# 3.0, VB.Net 9.0 als Code statt als String einzubinden. LINQ wurde federführend von Turbo-Pascal- und C#-Autor Anders Hejlsberg entwickelt.

LinQ is een open source chatprogramma dat het Jabber/XMPP-protocol voor instant messaging gebruikt. Het programma is gebaseerd op de Qt-toolkit en draait onder Linux en Windows. Kenmerkend voor LinQ is dat de interface sterk lijkt op die van Windows Live Messenger (MSN).
