LG Electronics (Hangul:엘지전자, , ) is a South Korean multinational corporation and one of the world's largest electronics companies. It is a part of LG Group, operating in 80 countries.

Lucky-Goldstar (LG) est un chaebol (conglomérat industriel sud-coréen), spécialisé dans l'électronique (dont la domotique), les téléphones portables et les produits pétrochimiques. L'entreprise s'est appelée Lucky-Goldstar (러키 금성) de sa création en 1947 jusqu'en 1995, date à laquelle elle a adopté l'abréviation LG comme dénomination courante. Avant ce changement de nom, LG vendait également certains produits électroniques sous la marque Goldstar, et des produits ménagers sous la marque Lucky, mais seulement en Corée du Sud pour cette dernière. Lucky était une marque connue pour ses détergents et produits nettoyants. Le terme Lucky était d'ailleurs synonyme de dentifrice avant l'industrialisation massive de la société sud-coréenne (de la même façon que Kleenex désigne souvent les mouchoirs en papier en général).

LG Electronics [] ist ein Unternehmen aus Südkorea mit Firmensitz in Seoul. Das Unternehmen wurde 1958 gegründet. Der Konzern bietet Produkte aus den Bereichen Informationstechnik, Consumer Electronics und Mobilfunk sowie Haushaltsgeräte an. Es ist ein Tochterunternehmen der LG Group. LG Electronics-Produkte gelten mittlerweile als qualitativ hochwertig und innovativ. So unterstützen zum Beispiel aktuelle DVD-Brenner von LG das DVD-RAM-Format, und die 1997 vorgestellte Flatron-Bildröhre ist bis heute richtungsweisend für die Bildröhrentechnologie. Oft findet man auch die Bezeichnung LGe, wobei das e für Electronics steht.

LG Group jeden z największych koreańskich czeboli (do 1995 roku działał pod nazwą Lucky GoldStar Group, która odzwierciedla wcześniejsze połączenie dwóch koncernów: Lucky Chemical Company oraz GoldStar). W 120 krajach LG Group zatrudnia ok. 140 tys. pracowników. W 1996 roku obroty całego koncernu przekroczyły 73 mld dolarów. Zajmuje się on głównie przemysłem energetycznym i chemicznym, elektroniką i telekomunikacją. Ostatnie dwie dziedziny - kojarzone z marką GoldStar, którą w połowie lat 90. przemianowano na LG Electronics - stały się wiodącą dziedziną działalności koncernu. Założona wspólnie z holenderskim koncernem Royal Philips Electronics spółka LG Philips Displays jest np. jednym z największych na świecie producentów kineskopów używanych w telewizorach i monitorach komputerowych.

La LG Electronics è un'industria affiliata del LG Group, specializzata nella produzione di apparecchiature elettroniche e telefonini. Il nome LG è un'abbreviazione di Lucky Goldstar, il precedente nome della compagnia. Prima di questo cambiamento di nome furono venduti numerosi prodotti elettronici tramite il marchio commerciale Goldstar, mentre altri prodotti non disponibili al di fuori della Corea del Sud furono commercializzati col marchio Lucky.
