LGBT

The initialism LGBT (also GLBT) is in use (since the 1990s) to refer collectively to Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender people. The acronym is an adaptation of the initial LGB. In modern use, the acronym relates the diversity of the Gay culture.Many variants exist. The most commonly used involve adding a Q for queer or questioning (some variants, in fact, use two Qs to represent both of these groups), an A for asexual or allies (and sometimes 'S' for straight ally), a T for two spirit, an I for intersex, or a P for pansexual or polyamorous. Some even add an O for omnisexual or other.

LGBT (seltener auch GLBT) ist ein aus dem englischen Sprachraum kommendes Akronym für Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual und Transgender (dt: Lesben, Schwule, Bisexuelle und Transgender).Diese Abkürzung tauchte im Englischen erst Mitte der 1990er Jahre auf, war aber 2004 schon so weit verbreitet, dass sie von vielen Gruppen und deren Medien verwendet und dadurch zum Internationalismus wurde.

LGBT - skrótowiec określający społeczność Lesbijek, Gejów, Biseksualistów oraz osób Transgenderycznych. Do grupy osób transgenderycznych wlicza się również osoby transseksualne. Spotykany również w wersjach LGTB i GLBT. W ogólnej definicji terminem tym określa się ogół osób, które tworzą mniejszości o odmiennej od heteroseksualnej orientacji seksualnej oraz osób o niezgodnej z biologiczną tożsamości płciowej (osoby transgendryczne i transseksualne).
