The kip (Lao: ກີບ) is the currency of Laos since 1952. Its ISO 4217 code is LAK and it is usually written ₭ or ₭N. One kip is divided into 100 att (ອັດ).

Le lak (лакку маз, lakku maz ; en russe лакский язык) est la langue du peuple lak installé dans le sud de la république autonome du Daguestan, qui appartient à la Fédération de Russie. Il y constitue l'une des six langues littéraires recensées. Le lak, parlé par environ  personnes, appartient au groupe des langues nakho-daghestaniennes des langues du Nord-Caucase, et est proche du darguine. Il était autrefois également appelé Гьази-Кьумукь (Ghazi-Qumuq), Кази-Кумук (Kazi-Kumuk) ou Каси-Кумук (Kasi-Kumuk).

Der Kip ist die Währung in Laos.Es existieren lediglich Banknoten, und zwar in den Stückelungen 50.000, 20.000, 10.000, 5000, 2000, 1000, 500, 100, 50, 20, 10, 5 und 1 Kip. Die früher gebräuchlichen Münzen  werden heute nicht mehr verwendet; auch die Banknoten von 100 und kleiner praktisch nicht mehr. Im Jahre 1979 wurde eine Währungsreform durchgeführt, wobei 100 alte Kip durch einen neuen Kip ersetzt wurden.

Kip (LAK) - jednostka monetarna używana w Laosie. Dzieli się na 100 at.W 1979 roku nastąpiła w Laosie reforma walutowa. 100 starych kip zastąpiono 1 nową. Notowania (na dzień 8 grudnia 2006): 1 USD = 10111 LAK, 1 PLN = 3522 LAK.
