LADIN

Ladin (Ladino in Italian, Ladin in Ladin, Ladinisch in German) is a Rhaeto-Romance language spoken in the Dolomite mountains in Italy, between the regions of Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol and Veneto. Le ladin (ladino en italien, ladin en ladin) est une langue romane du groupe rhéto-roman (donc proche du romanche et du frioulan) ; elle est parlée en tant que langue maternelle par environ 30 000 locuteurs dans le nord-est de l'Italie (région des Dolomites, pour l'essentiel dans le Frioul, le Trentin-Haut-Adige et en Vénétie). C'est donc une des langues les plus rares d'Europe, à côté du féringien et du lapon.

Das Ladinische, auch Dolomitenladinisch genannt, ist eine romanische Sprache, die im Norden Italiens  gesprochen wird.Nach der Meinung einiger Forscher besteht eine enge Verwandtschaft des Dolomitenladinischen mit dem in Gebieten Graubündens gesprochenen Romanischen und mit dem Furlanischen. Die Zusammenfassung dieser drei Sprachen unter dem Oberbegriff Rätoromanische Sprachen ist umstritten (siehe: "Questione Ladina").

Język ladyński - pierwotnie zespół reliktowych dialektów retoromańskich używany przez Ladynów - rdzenną ludność retoromańską zamieszkującą włoskie Dolomity. Obecnie integrowane są one w jeden język narodowy. Liczba osób posługujacych się tym językiem wynosi około 30 tysięcy. Występujacy w Dolomitach język ladyński nie ma nic wspólnego z językiem ladino używanym dawniej w Hiszpanii przez Żydów sefardyjskich. Przypadkowa zbieżność nazw spowodowała dużo nieporozumień w tej materii.
