Los Angeles Police Department
The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) is the police department of the city of Los Angeles, California. With 9,925 officers and 2,879 civilian staff, covering an area of with a population of 3,792,621 million people as of the 2010 Census, it is the third largest local law enforcement agency in the United States, after the New York City Police Department and the Chicago Police Department.

Los Angeles Police Department
Das Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) ist die Polizeiabteilung von Los Angeles in Kalifornien, der zweitgrößten Stadt der USA. Das Motto des LAPD lautet „to protect and to serve” (schützen und dienen). Es ist das drittgrößte Police Department in den USA (nach dem New York City Police Department und dem Chicago Police Department). Die Behörde ist weltbekannt und wurde auch in vielen Filmen und Fernsehsendungen fiktionalisiert.

Los Angeles Police Department
Los Angeles Police Department, LAPD, är en polismyndighet med ansvar för staden Los Angeles i Kalifornien. Förutom LAPD finns också Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department (kommunpolis), California Highway Patrol med överlappande jurisdiktion i staden Los Angeles. LAPD är med sina 9500 poliser och 3000 civilanställda den tredje största polismyndigheten i USA (sett till antalet anställda), efter New Yorks (NYPD) och Chicagos (CPD) polisstyrkor.

L.A.P.D. - zespół, który powstał w 1989 roku, w którego skład wchodzili przyszli członkowie grupy KoRn (oprócz wokalisty Jonathana Davisa). Nazwa jest skrótem od Love And Peace Dude, chociaż na pierwszy rzut wydaje się mieć ona związek z policją z Los Angeles.

Los Angeles Police Department
LAPD - (Los Angeles Police Department), to departament policji w mieście Los Angeles. W LAPD służy ponad 9 500 policjantów, którzy chronią ponad 4 miliony obywateli na obszarze 1 225 km2. LAPD powstała w roku 1869. Obecnie posiada ona 19 posterunków, 2 łodzie policyjne oraz 26 helikopterów. Obecnym szefem Los Angeles Police Department jest William J. Bratton.
