The Electorate of Cologne ( or ) was an ecclesiastical principality of the Holy Roman Empire and existed from the 10th to the early 19th century. It consisted of the temporal possessions of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Cologne  . It was ruled by the Archbishop in his function as prince-elector of the empire. The capitals of the electorate were Cologne (until 1288) and then Bonn. It was secularised in 1803 during the German Mediatisation.

Kurköln (auch: Erzstift und Kurfürstentum Köln) war eines der ursprünglich sieben Kurfürstentümer des Heiligen Römischen Reiches Deutscher Nation. Es bildete den weltlichen Herrschaftsbereich der Erzbischöfe von Köln und ist von deren sehr viel größerem Erzbistum zu unterscheiden, zu dem mehrere Suffraganbistümer und weitere Gebiete gehörten, die nur der geistlichen, nicht aber der staatlichen Gewalt des Erzbischofs unterstanden.
