Crimea (
IPA: ) or the Autonomous Republic of Crimea (; ; ) is an
autonomous republic of
Ukraine on the northern coast of the
Black Sea occupying a
peninsula of the same name.The territory of Crimea was conquered and controlled many times through its history. The
Cimmerians,
Greeks,
Iranians,
Goths,
Huns,
Bulgars,
Khazars, the state of
Kievan Rus',
Byzantine Greeks,
Kipchaks, and the
Mongols all controlled Crimea in its early history. In the 13th century it was partly controlled by the
Venetians and by the
Genoese, these were followed by the
Crimean Khanate and
Ottoman Empire in the 15th–18th centuries, the
Russian Empire in the 18th–20th centuries,
Germany in
World War II, and now, the independent
Ukrainian state.

Crimée
La Crimée (
Ukrainien : Крим,
Russe : Крым,
Tatar de Crimée : Qırım) est une
presqu'île située au Sud de l'
Ukraine, plongeant dans la
mer Noire, constituant une
république autonome. Elle est reliée au continent par l'
isthme de Perekop. Au Nord-Est se trouve la
mer d'Azov. La région, bien que faisant partie de l'Ukraine, est essentiellement russophone. Elle a fait partie historiquement de l'
Empire ottoman, de l'
Empire Russe et de l'
Union des républiques socialistes soviétiques (de la
République socialiste fédérative soviétique de Russie, puis de la
République socialiste soviétique d'Ukraine en
1954), avant d'être rattachée à l'
Ukraine indépendante en
1991. C'est l'antique
Chersonèse taurique.
