He has been Yugoslavia’s first-choice ‘keeper since taking over from Aleksandr Kocic. He made his international debut at the end of 1996 in a 3-2 victory away to Argentina. He played all four matches at the 1998 World Cup and earned a lucrative move from FK Partizan to FC Porto, though he soon moved on to PSV Eindhoven. Member of the PSV team that won Dutch League in 2000.
