Kotoōshū Katsunori
, (born Kaloyan Stefanov Mahlyanov on
February 19,
1983 in
Veliko Tarnovo,
Bulgaria) is a professional
sumo wrestler or
rikishi. He is currently ranked as an
ozeki or 'champion', the second-highest level in the sumo ranking system behind only
yokozuna. Popular with the Japanese public because of his good looks, he has been called the "David Beckham of Sumo" and the "Prince of Sumo," although he expressed displeasure with the former moniker.

Bulgarien) ist ein
Sumōringer.Kotoōshū begann seine Sumōlaufbahn im Jahr 2002, erreichte in nur neun
Turnieren die
Jūryō-Division und stieg bis zum September 2004 in die
Makuuchi-Division auf. Bereits im März des Folgejahres wurde er zum
Komusubi befördert. Danach brach seine Siegesserie und er musste nach einem 4:11
Make-koshi wieder in die
Maegashira-Ränge zurücktreten. Er konnte sich jedoch wieder sammeln und kämpfte ab September 2005 als
Sekiwake. Nach dem November-Turnier 2005 wurde er zum Ōzeki ernannt, die dafür benötigte Anzahl von 19 Turnieren seit dem Start in der untersten Liga, der
Jonokuchi ist der bisher schnellste Aufstieg eines Sumotori.

Veliko Tarnovo,
19 febbraio 1983) è un lottatore di
sumo bulgaro.Soprannominato "la migliore esportazione della
Bulgaria dopo lo yoghurt", egli ha iniziato la sua carriera da professionista nel
novembre del 2002 e da allora ha vinto quattro tornei, che gli hanno permesso di raggiungere il titolo di Juryo ("miglior giovane"). Il suo fisico possente (è alto 204 centimetri e pesa 143 Chilogrammi) e le sue prese formidabili gli hanno permesso di stabilire un record di ben 11 vittorie consecutive dall'inizio del 2005.
