Konkona Sen Sharma

Konkona Sen Sharma (Bengali: কঙ্কনা সেন শর্মা Kongkona Shen Shôrma, born 3 December, 1979 in New Delhi, India) is an acclaimed National Award winning Indian actress. She is the daughter of acclaimed film director Aparna Sen.Sharma, who made her debut as a child artist in the film Indira (1983), made her adult debut in Ek Je Aachhe Kanya (2000). She gained attention with the English film Mr. and Mrs. Iyer (2002), and received the coveted National Film Award for Best Actress for her performance in the film. Her appearance in the film Page 3 (2005) gave her a wide recognition. Since then, she has starred in a number of films, most of which have been more critically then commercially successful. In 2007, she won her first Filmfare Award under the Best Supporting Actress category for her performance in Omkara (2006), and had her first commercial success with Life in a... Metro.
